FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ's)

1. How much do you pay?

   There are many variables that determine what the hourly rate might be for each assignment…these include location of assignment, area/unit specialty worked.

2. How long is a travel assignment?

   Most assignments are 13 weeks in length and many times there will be an option to extend beyond that.

3. What benefits are available?

   Curastat offers one of the most comprehensive benefit packages available in the industry. Our PPO medical, dental and life insurance plan is effective day 1 free of charge to our Travel Healthcare employees. You may add family members to this plan for a small fee. Curastat also offers voluntary short-term, long-term disability and vision group coverage.

4. What is the process for securing a travel assignment?

   1. First, we will ask you to complete paperwork that shows background and skill level. This will included a self-evaluated skills checklist, several professional references and an educational/work history.
   2. Once we have the "submittal information" we will identify a travel assignment that you would like to pursue.
   3. We will then submit you for a specific travel assignment. If the hiring manager believes you will be a good fit they will conduct a phone interview giving both parties the opportunity ask questions to determine if you would be a good match for the position.
   4. If the interview was successful the facility will make an offer for a travel assignment.
   5. It is at this time where the candidate will accept or reject an offer. If the candidate accepts an offer it is important that you are committed to completing the required employee paperwork and be prepared to start on the agreed start date.

5. Can I work with more than one company when trying to find the right assignment?

   Yes, we do not expect you to work exclusively with Curastat. It is important that you work with companies that will get your "approval" prior to submitting you for any positions. This will prevent you from being submitted for the same position by more than one company. Many times this will frustrate the hospitals and you could potentially jeopardize your opportunity should this occur.

6. Do you offer travel assistance?

   Yes, Curastat will pay you $.41/mile per mile to the location of your travel assignment up to $500.

7. Do you offer private housing?

   Yes, all of our travelers enjoy a deluxe one bedroom furnished apartment with paid electric.

8. Do you offer housewares?

   Our standard housing package does not include housewares (linens, dishes, towels, etc.) which are additional costs and we have found many travelers would prefer to bring these items with them and earn a higher hourly rate. If convenience is worth a slight monthly fee just ask Curastat to add housewares.

9. What if I am going to take care of my own housing?

   If you would like to make your own housing arrangements Curastat will pay you a generous housing allowance that is based on location of assignment. Best of all we pay our housing allowance weekly!
